Muroki Announces New Zealand Spring Tour Dates

Riding a tidal wave of successful outings via Benee‘s imprint Olive, songwriting star of Raglan Muroki expands its horizons with a ripper from an Australasian tour. Happens this spring after the launch of its new heading east EP on September 16, Muroki’s Aotearoa shows include a new headline date at Pōneke’s San Fran, collecting the ball from its previously announced May event on the Windy City site – which was necessarily postponed at the time for pandemic-related reasons (there was a bit of that). Don’t miss Muroki on the dates below, and enjoy the sparkling live clip for the new single ‘Presentation‘ from the upcoming EP, featuring the artist with a band at Tāmaki’s Roundhead Studios. Note: All existing tickets for Muroki’s flagship event in Wellington, previously postponed in San Francisco, are valid for the new date, ticket holders have been emailed direct with details…

“I’m super excited to be touring through New Zealand and Australia to share all my new music with you!” — Muroki.

Press release:

After releasing his new single ‘Introducing’, 21-year-old New Zealand artist Muroki is delighted to share the announcement of his forthcoming EP Heading East, coming September 16th via Olive Records/Universal Music and accompanied by a Australian and New Zealand tour.

In Australia, Muroki’s Heading East tour takes him to Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane as well as the Wanderer Festival in Sapphire Coast, NSW and Promiseland on the Gold Coast, QLD.

The Tour EP then returns to New Zealand for showpiece shows, including a rescheduled date at the San Fran in Wellington after covid caused its July date to be cancelled. It also appears at the Longline Classic festival in Gisborne.

Heading East is Muroki’s second EP. The six-track collection includes singles Find Me and Introducing, along with four previously unreleased tracks. Stirring the melting pot of Muroki’s musical influences, you can hear indie, pop, reggae and world music on songs like the laid-back pop of Simple Pleasures or the deep, deep flavors of Found In Nairobi and the title track of the EP.

Releasing a new collection of music and hitting the road again promises to start Muroki’s summer in a bold way, connecting with his growing fan base on both sides of Tasmania.
