Comedy: Comedian Mike Epps is best known for the role of Day-Day Jones in the “Friday” franchise, but he has also appeared in films such as “The Hangover” and “The Hangover III”, “Nina”, “Dolemite Is My Name” and the Netflix show “The Upshaws”.
The Indianapolis native broke into the world of stand-up comedy in 1995 after appearing on the “Def Comedy Jam” tour and appearing on two of its HBO shows.

Latin: East Los Angeles duo Tropa Magica take the Colombian genre of cumbia music and blend it with rock ‘n’ roll and punk rock to create a distinct sound. Tropica Magica has played with bands such as Chicano Batman, Los Lobos and Los Tigres del Norte. They have also performed at festivals such as Desert Daze and Tropicalia.
Tropica Magica will perform Thursday at The Alibi Palm Springs with local rock band Slipping Into Darkness.

American: Singer-songwriter Jim Lauderdale has worked with some of the biggest names in country, bluegrass and rock such as Dr. Ralph Stanley, The Chicks, Elvis Costello and many more. Ketch Secor of the Old Crow Medicine Show describes Lauderdale as “my favorite part of American music”. In 2021, Lauderdale released the album “Hope” with themes of courage, hope and perseverance during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Lauderdale will perform Friday at Pappy and Harriet.

AC DC: AC/DC tribute band Bonfire bill themselves as a “high-energy tribute” to the band’s early years and late singer Bon Scott.
