Umbilicus was formed in the summer of 2020 and motivated by our love of rock and roll from the late 60s, 70s and early 80s. I have listened to well known bands like Big Funk, Bad company and Steppenwolf and lesser known groups like Sir Lord Baltimore and Lucifer’s friend for twenty years now ”, declared Mazurkiewicz.

“The more I listened to these bands, the more I wanted to play music like this. It’s so fun to sit and groove and play with a full feel without hitting my body. Just playing pure. hard rock! We composed 10 really cool songs throughout 2020, but the piece of the puzzle was missing: an awesome voice to tie it all together. Brian stephenson! An incredible singer and lyricist who completed the lineup! I am so proud of what we wrote and can’t wait for the world to hear what we have to offer! “
