Joan Jett went so far as to say during a Sundance Roundtable interview that Stewart had a “quiet intensity”, saying she definitely studied her well as an extremely dedicated actress.
Sid and Nancy
An equally edgy depiction of rock star life, the Sid and Nancy The film accurately depicts the messy and obnoxious lifestyle of the leading ’70s punk band, the Sex Pistols. If fans enjoyed the chaos in Pamela and Tommy’s relationship, they’ll surely appreciate this nerve-wracking story.

In this semi-biopic, Once upon a time in Hollywood takes viewers on a wild ride through Hollywood in 1969. While the main plot shows the struggles of a successful actor, fans later discover that the timeline aligns with the terrifying murders of the Manson family.

Although not quite similar to Pam and Tommy, walk the line is yet another biopic based on the life of an iconic music figure. Although Johnny Cash is not considered a rock star per se, he surely partied like one in his prime time.
Another similarity between the two biopics is that they both touch on love, with this particular film highlighting the relationship between Johnny and June Carter. Played by Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon, walk the line stands as one of the most iconic musical biopics of all time, given its classic, old-school nature.
